 ABC Company encourages employee use of the Internet:

• To communicate with fellow employees and clients regarding matters within an employee's assigned duties;
• To get information related to, or designed to help the performance of regular assigned duties; and
• To ease performance of any task or project as approved by an employee's supervisor.

Your use of the Internet access provided by ABC Company expressly prohibits:

• Distribution or printing of copyrighted materials (including articles and software) violating copyright laws.
• Sending, receiving, printing or otherwise distributing proprietary data, trade secrets or other confidential information of ABC Company violating company policy or proprietary agreements.
• Offensive or harassing statements or language including disparagement of others based on their race, marital status, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, religious or political beliefs.
• Sending, receiving or soliciting sexually oriented messages or images.
• Operating a business, stealing business opportunities, soliciting money for personal gain, or searching for jobs outside ABC Company.
• Sending chain letters, gambling or engaging in any other activity, which violates the law.

Disciplinary action for violation of this Policy may include, but is not limited to, firing, suspension, or transfer, In cases involving less serious violations, disciplinary action may consist of a warning or reprimand. Remedial action may also include counseling, changes in work assignments, or other measures designed to prevent future misconduct at the Company's discretion.
